Associated British Ports

Associated British Ports is a major port operator and runs the UK's busiest port in Immingham in the Humber Estuary. ABP's four Humber ports of Goole, Grimsby, Hull and Immingham handle 65m tonnes of cargo every year, support some 33,000 jobs and contribute £2.2bn to the UK economy. The case study describes the company's experience of the largest tidal surge to hit the Humber since 1953's 'Great Storm'.

The case study was originally developed by the Environment Agency and Your Climate as a 6 minute video featuring Lord Haskins (Chair of the Humber LEP), ABP's Tom Jeynes and Climate UK's Jon Clubb (view it on YouTube here). This version was published in 2016 by Climate UK.
